the big move

OMG! I FINALLY FOUND SOMEWHERE TO LIVE! The place is in Wembley, on Herdsman Parade. It's like the main road going through Wembley, full of apartments, units and flats. Like the Wembley equivalent of King George Street in Vic Park. All Saturday we spent driving around looking at properties in Vic Park and all up and down Herdsman Parade. We get home at about 5:30pm, and finally sit down to start calling places we saw to book an appointment. I call this one place on Herdsman Parade, advertised as "Fully renovated, light bright, 1 bedroom, etc etc." I call the guy, Dominic, and ask to see the place first thing Monday morning. "Love, it'll be gone by tomorrow." *groan*. "I can be there in half an hour." So then we drag our exhausted asses all the way back up to Wembley. But damn it was worth it, fuck! So here's the 411 on my new unit:

- Carpet is 4 months old

- New verticals right through

- Brand new double mattress today

- New lounge

- New wardrobe on order

- New washing machine on order

- Fully repainted kitchen (it's cobalt blue/lemon - yellow/terracotta)

- I have a balcony (hehe)

- Fully retiled bathroom

- New dining table and chairs.

Once I get photos, I'll scan them and upload them here so you can all see. It's only small, one bedroom, but its decent and its somewhere other than home. Justin's going to stay with me tonight... it will be the first time I fall asleep in his arms in a long time. *sigh*.

My parents still don't know yet... but they're gonna know by the time me and Matty (one of Justin's mates) start shifting the furniture out. I have 9 boxes I think, but they're small ones and about 4 of them have clothes and shoes and handbags in. My room's pretty much packed, I just gotta take down my shelves and CD rack, take down my files and then shift it all out. I'm leaving work as soon as Lorry gets in.

Anyway I've gotta go, there is LOT more to write about but I'm leaving soon and I gotta do some actual work as well. I'll post later guys,

Much love,

Melinda.
